George Timbers

Bio

I am a Clinical Supervisor for ALCA Therapeutic Services. My goal is to assist Therapists with providing excellent services to persons seeking to take control and normalize their lives through engaging in the therapeutic process.

My work experience mainly involves working in community mental health services including specialization in substance abuse and program analysis for the Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health. I was also a Clinical Coordinator for a multifaceted behavioral health program at a multi-site community health organization.

In addition to being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s Degree from Temple University, my upbringing in North Philadelphia and over 40 years of experience working in the mental health arena have enabled me to consistently and effectively pursue my major objective of helping others to achieve positive clinical outcomes. As a former athlete, team Captain, and All Public League Basketball player, I have a strong appreciation for and strongly emphasize excellence in teamwork and unity to meet and overcome challenges.

I believe in the philosophy that one should want for his brother and sister what he wants for himself. If I can help somebody then my living shall not be in vain.
